Today Netflix released the first trailer for The King. Timothée Chalamet stars as the titular king, Henry V of England. It will premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 2. It then is set for a limited theatrical run, before hitting Netflix in the fall.

Hal, wayward prince and heir to the English throne, is crowned King Henry V after his tyrannical father dies. Now the young king must navigate palace politics, the war his father left behind, and the emotional strings of his past life.

Chronicling the early years of Henry’s reign, The King features a strong supporting cast, including Robert Pattinson, Joel Edgerton, and Ben Mendelsohn.

Netflix will release The King on September 2, 2019.
