Folks, we’ve got not one, but two trailers for Marriage Story from director Noah Baumbach. Netflix today released two companion teasers along with a very cool duel poster.
Marriage Story is Academy Award nominated filmmaker Noah Baumbach‘s incisive and compassionate portrait of a marriage breaking up and a family staying together.
The word on the street was that Netflix was so excited about the daily footage from Marriage Story. Regardless of whether or not The Irishman was ready in time, they were going to push this hard during awards season. And in our look, it’s easy to see why.
Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson each get their turn to narrate what they love about the other in their respective teaser. Of course, both end with the two in court at what seems to divorce proceedings. With two powerhouse actors and a stellar director, this is sure to a must-see this fall.
Releasing two teasers from different perspectives is very cool and a creative way to introduce the film. Baumbach said “With these companion trailers I wanted to show the relationship through the eyes of both characters. There are many sides to every story, and the movie embraces these different viewpoints in order to find the shared truth.”
